Altitude was founded with the philosophy that using the most qualified instructors leads to better training and safer teen drivers, and to us that was far more important than profit. That’s why we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This way, instead of being forced to keep payroll to a minimum to increase profits and keep shareholders happy, we can spend more to hire more qualified and more experienced instructors, and use any surplus funds to offer scholarships.
Altitude was founded by police officers, who are also certified law enforcement driving instructors. As such, we have received countless hours of training over many years, and have extensive firsthand experience of everything it takes for drivers to stay safe, and avoid situations that can result in tickets, crashes, and worse.
