elementsAward2Castle Rock Business Owners Earns Top Honor from National Massage Franchise

Kristin and Mark Adams named Elements Massage™ 2014 Franchisee of the Year

Highlands Ranch, Colorado (INSERT DATE) – Kristin and Mark Adams, franchise owners of Elements Massage™ of Castle Rock, were recently named the Franchisees of the Year among owners across the country. They were selected for their outstanding revenue growth, sales per room, compliance and desire to help others in the 181-unit franchise system to grow the overall brand.

The Adams were honored at the Elements Massage™ National Conference, recently held in Naples, Florida. Kristin and Mark joined the franchise six years ago after transitioning out of the public accounting industry. When their studio opened its doors in August 2008, the Castle Rock team had trouble building business and meeting revenue goals. They were also attempting to manage the business from California, as Kristin had to move with her husband in 2010. In October 2011, the Adams were nearly forced to close the doors to their business.

In an attempt to turn her franchise location around, Kristin made management changes, started devoting more time to the franchise, made monthly visits to her studio and increased communication with employees to a daily frequency. The transformation was almost immediate. The studio grew from 130 members and around 200 massage appointments per month in 2011 to currently having 630 members and booking more than 1,000 appointments per month. With only four massage rooms, the Castle Rock studio boasts the highest revenue per room in the franchise system.

“There was a definite learning curve to owning my own franchise. It’s really about building the right team and dedicating your time. Once I was able to hire more experienced massage therapists and a self-starting, organized manager, the business took off,” said Kristin Adams. “My husband and I are back living in the area and truly enjoy being a part of the Castle Rock business community. We look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of local residents.”

Kristin emphasizes partnering with local organizations, businesses and youth sports clubs, which she says has also contributed to the accelerated growth of the massage studio.

Once viewed as an expensive splurge, Elements is making therapeutic massage increasingly affordable and available to time-starved consumers who recognize the value of massage in maintaining their overall health and wellness. Those who receive regular massages benefit from lower levels of stress hormones, a heightened immune system, increase in circulation and pain management among others. The Castle Rock studio is open seven days a week, welcomes walk-ins and offers a Wellness Program that allows clients to receive regular, discounted massage therapy services throughout each month.
