According to a new Zumper report for August, Castle Rock ranks fifth for the most expensive city to rent in the Denver metro area. An average one-bedroom apartment rents for $1,390/mo while the average two-bedroom apartment goes for $1,630/mo.

Don’t worry, it could be worse. Parker rolled in as the fourth most expensive city to rent in at $1,520/mo for a one-bedroom apartment, and $1,700/mo for a two bedroom apartment.

The number one spot goes to Broomfield where an average one-bedroom apartment goes for $1,590/mo.

Looking for a deal? The cheapest place in the Denver-metro area to rent in is Aurora where an average one-bedroom apartment goes for a cool $1,190/mo.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

–Arvada, CO had the fastest growing rent, up 14.2% since this time last year.

–Broomfield, CO saw rent climb 7.4%, making it second.

–Parker, CO followed closely behind as third with rent growing 6.8%.
