Colorado Natives, Mark & Jessica Quinnell are the newest duo to join the Castle Rock small business scene. The arrival of the Castle Rock Beer Company has been anticipated since the Quinnell’s first hung the, “coming soon,” banner from their Perry Street location in August. The microbrewery and taproom is open for business on Saturday, January 16th.
Mark began home-brewing beer ten years ago. In the years that followed, the couple had a large part in advocating and organizing the opening of breweries in Denver. The taproom concept was well received in their previous community, which is now home to two microbrewery taprooms.
Today, the family-friendly business is located in a central downtown Castle Rock location. With prime views of the rock, and quick access from anywhere in town, the Castle Rock Beer Company is sure to attract ale connoisseurs throughout the community. Each of the english-style beers on tap is brewed right inside the Perry Street business. “We brew British empire beer, so anything English, Irish, and Scottish,” explained Quinnell. They have anywhere from 5-8 beers on tap, and encourage visitors to bring their own food.
“The Castle Rock market is so large now, and growing, and the demand for more breweries is also large and growing,” Quinnell expressed. Castle Rock Beer Company intends to creatively name each of their locally brewed ales after Castle Rock landmarks or historical milestones that are specific to the town’s story.
