Old Town Parker Wine Walk is this Friday, May 29th

“To make a great wine one needs a madman to grow the vine, a wise man to watch over it, a lucid poet to make the wine, and a lover to drink it.” – Salvador Dali, Spanish painter. Well, if this quote applies to you and you are a lover, then this event is for you! If you are looking for something fun to do with a date or for a ladies night out, get a babysitter, ditch the kids and head on over to Old Town Parker for the 8th annual Old Town Parker Wine Walk.

This adult event, hosted by the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce, is held the last Friday of every month from May-October, from 5pm-8pm, with the first one of the season quickly approaching this Friday, May 29th. Merchants involved in the Wine Walk are Parker Area Chamber of Commerce members who have a business in the Downtown Parker area. For just $15, you are given a wine class, a wine walk map, and 10 1-oz samples of wine.

“Participating merchants, from retail and restaurants, to financial and real estate, and many more, offer a unique way for local residents to have fun while exploring the people, services, and businesses Parker has to offer,” added Stacy Rosemore, the Events and Programs Director.

If you’re unable to attend this Friday, check your calendar for these future dates:

June 26th
July 31st
August 28th
September 25th
October 30th

In addition to touring local merchants while drinking wine, the Council of Arts, Science, and Culture, or CASC, provides a line up of local musical entertainers to add some extra flair and ambiance. There will also be various sponsors with several booths for you to browse while you walk. Music, wine and vendors – how could you go wrong? Just make sure you’re over 21 years old…Cheers!
