Golf in our area has been around since at least the late 19th century. While Colorado is known for its epic ski resorts and hiking, many people also come to this beautiful state for the pleasure and sport of golfing. Whether it was Harry Vardon in 1900 or the many who have passed through the U.S. Open, Colorado has had its fair share of professional golf players come and go. It isn’t unheard of that many of those golf players and instructors fall in love with Colorado and decide to make it their home. One Castle Rock resident is a fine example of that.
Reggie Sanchez, PGA Director of Instruction, at Topgolf Centennial has been in the professional golf-teaching scene for almost 15 years. After teaching a couple of years in Lakewood, an opportunity to work at The Golf Club at Bear Dance came along. At Bear Dance, Sanchez worked under Danny Harvenek, a PGA Master Teaching Professional. “ I just kind of got under his wing and learned everything I could learn from teaching. I was real fortunate to work at that facility because it is always ranked as one of the top golf courses in the state of Colorado every year,” Sanchez describes about his time at Bear Dance.
After teaching at Bear Dance for about 5 ½ years, Reggie took a job at GolfTEC in the Denver Tech Center. It was during this time where Reggie really learned the teaching technology like launch angles, dispersion and other technology aimed at improving a golfer’s experience. Following new opportunities and a chance to work with new technology, Reggie left GolfTEC and took the job at Topgolf Cenntenial at the Director of Instruction. When he left GolfTEC, Reggie was ranked at the #1 golf instructor in the whole state of Colorado. Just in the past two years, Reggie has had the honor of being rated one of the top golf instructors in the state by Colorado Avid Golfer Magazine.
Reggie’s experience with teaching the sport of golf as well as the gaining insight about the technology advancements for teaching is a perfect fit at Topgolf. The atmosphere at Topgolf is light and fun where you can learn all aspects of golfing. “The difference between here and the other facilities I worked at is it is really reaching out to a whole new community of golfers. I think as a PGA member, it’s a great way to grow the game because they are reaching out to people who would probably never get on a golf course,” Reggie said about Topgolf. Opportunities with Reggie Sanchez at Topgolf include private lessons, clinics, junior lessons. He is also available for private event clinics as well. Whether you’re a professional golfer or never have touched a golf club before, Reggie will work with you and make your experience one that you won’t forget.
So whether you want to tighten up your golfing skills or just want to have a good time with friends, go see Reggie Sanchez at Topgolf Centennial for a guaranteed experience you will not forget.
