Velocity Radio.fm (Douglas County Radio) is seeking a part-time Board Operator to join our Castle Rock team. If you’re passionate about talk radio, have the ability to be organized and think on your feet and are ambitious to be a part of an active talk radio station, we want to hear from you!
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Around the clock monitoring of programming
- Troubleshoot in high pressure situations
- Handle Program Producer duties when needed (i.e. phone screening, show prep, etc.)
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. Due to the unique nature of Velocity Radio.fm prior radio experience is preferred however not required. While no previous media experience is required, experience with creating and editing digital content, audio or video content is preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must be organized and able to multi-task. Flexibility is essential. Familiarity with Adobe audition and other audio digital editing software in addition to being able to self manage. There will be times that you will be working shows alone so it’s important to be a self manager and because of that, and the cost of our equipment, a criminal background check will be required.
