Castle Rock Recreation Center
We have called Castle Rock home for the past six months, so I thought it was time to make it official. I headed down to the town recreation center to get my Castle Rock ‘Resident ID Card’ to claim my permanent residency.
If you haven’t been there yet, it is an impressive facility with just about everything you could want to do. There are indoor basketball courts, a lap pool and indoor water park, exercise and aerobic equipment, classes and a loaded schedule of community activities for kids, adults and families. It would truly be hard to not find something that appeals to you.
Getting your resident card couldn’t be easier. At the front desk, ‘Phil’ asked for a simple payment of four dollars, proof of residency (license, electric bill, etc.), had me fill in some vital info for myself and my family and snapped my picture. After printing out my new ID, I was on my way to enjoying discounts on admission fees, classes and resident fee rates at the Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course.
I encourage you to head down today and start taking advantage of this community resource. And be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled for an upcoming ‘sneak peak’ at the progress on ‘Philip S. Miller Park’ opening off Plum Creek Parkway South this fall.
