The Town has plans to change the night glow of the famous Castle Rock. Will it change color? Will it brighten the local night sky?
Last month, residents might have observed new lighting possibilities being tested. The lighting changes were very subtle; some illuminating more of the rock, while other choices projected light on different portions of the natural structure.
The next step for council is to start a bidding process to look at important factors like cost, installation, types of lights, timing, etc. If the decision is made to proceed, the Town is hoping to have the newly lit ‘rock’ for 2015 Castle Rock Starlighting on November 21.
