Brian Roundy, Castle Rock Town Arborist, has been decorating the local landscape with flowers for 18 years.

Spring flowers will soon be budding around Castle Rock. Some of the more visible areas that we regularly pass are getting some needed attention from Town Arborist, Brian Roundy.
Working to beat the clock before the predicted freeze on Friday, he is taking taking his one-man-show to till and scatter his ’special mix’ of wildflower seed. “I’m planting seed around Town before the snow comes,” Roundy explained.

Roundy will try to work quickly to till and scatter seed around Castle Rock before Friday’s snow.

Starting at the roundabout near the intersection of Plum Creek and Ridge Road, he will have a few days to cover some ground. “I will be at Paintbrush Park, by the ‘Coolin the Dogs’ statue, along Gilbert Street and out front of the police department,” added Roundy.
And he is hopeful that residents and visitors will notice the slight changes made to the planned blooms this year. “I’m using a fragrant mix, so people may notice that they smell, well, more fragrant,” he laughed.
