In October of 2013, Castle Rock Radio a long-time controversial talk radio station, and bitter subject among many in Castle Rock, shut its doors.
Sean Hakes, an Internet marketing pioneer and his wife Adriana decided at that time to purchase the equipment from Castle Rock Bank as well as the studio space which is located at 333 Perry Street (just above Senna) and form the all new: Velocity Radio.fm.
Velocity Radio is the only locally owned and operated radio station in Castle Rock that focuses specifically on the Douglas County region and is in the process of building out more locally focused content, including a daily morning show, news, entertainment and more.
