This years Starlighting really couldn’t have been better. The weather was perfect and there were a few surprises that made this years Starlighting that much more special.

This year’s celebration included carriage rides, hot chocolate, non profit booths, live entertainment and of course Santa who was  present for photos and visits as well as the season opening of The Rink at the Rock.

The 79th Annual Starlighting event was emceed by Gary Shapiro from 9 News and hosted by Castle Rock Mayor & Councilmen, Paul Donahue.

The Starlighting Ceremony kicked off at 5:00 with the firework show at 5:35PM.

This year, CRCO volunteered to live stream the lighting of the star and fireworks so for the first time ever, those who couldn’t make the event could still partake and enjoy the festivities.

This years surprise included a new star that changes color, a new massive Christmas tree located in Festival Park and some new light additions that will leave downtown Castle Rock breathtaking throughout the entire season for all to enjoy.

Hats off to the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce for putting on a very special and likely, flawless event – thank you for your dedication to our community!
