Former Town Manager Mark Stevens

It has been big news that after 14 years of service to the Town of Castle Rock,  Mark Stevens is set to retire as our Town Manager. In order to recruit the best candidate to fill this position, Waters & Co. Executive Recruitment has been working with the Town to narrow down the search. That great responsibility has also been put on the townspeople by giving them a voice during the hiring process.

Town Council wants the input of it’s citizens and Town employees regarding what qualities the new Town Manager should have to succeed in the position. The Town Manager is the one who oversees the Town Council and staff by acting as Castle Rock’s CEO. Because of the importance of filling this seat, your feedback is needed as to what qualities a Manager should have and what issues they should focus on to see that Castle Rock continues to be a desirable place to work and live.

Citizens can access a brief online survey until 5 p.m. on Nov. 13 at CRgov.com/Manager. All comments entered before the deadline will be read and considered as the search continues. Recruitment is then expected to begin with interviews to occur during February 2015. Throughout the process updates will be made available at the crgov.com website.
