This Saturday, August 27, 2016, Overdrive Raceway will have two floors humming with the sound of top-notch go karts. Reaching speeds up to 25 and 55 MPH, these electric cars are ready to ‘rev’ around multiple levels of Formula One style tracks.
Along with unveiling a new second floor, the raceway will also introduce four new, hand-controlled vehicles that have been specially modified for riders without the use of one or both legs.
Owner and double-amputee, Jim Mundle, wants to grant people like himself a chance to have some independent fun.
“I have had issues in the past where I have been told I can’t do something,” he said. “The experience here will be different because we can make our raceway available to everyone.”
