Join the fifth annual Pedal the Moon bike ride on Saturday, August 9.
According to the city website, cyclist should meet at 8 p.m. at the Butterfield Corssing Park picnic pavilion and at 8:30 p.m., riders will kick off their 6-mile ride under the full moon. The ride will bring cyclist along East Plum Creek Trail to Festival Park in Downtown Castle Rock.
The Town also suggest that because this is a one-way ride, participants will need to make arrangements for transportation at the end of the ride.
In addition, the Town encourages riders to decorate their bikes and also remind you that helmets are required and have a front and rear blinking light.
The cost for the ride is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under if registered before the event. On race day, the fee will increase to $15 for adults and $10 for children which includes a t-shirt and dessert.
