The Town of Castle Rock is hosting an open house on April 9 to share information and solicit public feedback about potentially allowing ducks, mini goats and mini pigs to be kept within Castle Rock.
Castle Rock is a home rule municipality which mean the Town of Castle Rock has its own set of local laws and codes. In 2017-18 the Town staff completed a comprehensive review of the Town Code related to animals which led Town Council to adopt changes that went into effect June 1, 2018.
In February 2019 Council directed staff to further engage residents and to come back with information regarding potentially allowing the keeping of ducks, mini goats and pigs in Castle Rock.
Open House Details:
5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 9
Council Chambers at Town Hall, 100 N. Wilcox St.
