About a month or so ago I picked up a Wltoys V272 RC Quadcopter at a questionable, but desirable price of $16.88.

The Wltoys V272 RC Quadcopter showed up at my house in a small package, regular mail which included a set of spare blades and a USB charger.
Getting prepared to fly was a breeze but being unfamiliar with the transponder and the Quadcopter I came up with a few time saving tips…
- To engage the quadcopter do this. First, turn on the V272. There’s a tiny power switch located underneath the body. Second, turn on the transponder. Once both are on, the V272 will blink. If you put the throttle (left vertical switch) up, then down – you’ll hear a beep and shortly after the V272’s lights will turn solid meaning it’s ready to fly!
- Calibration – I still don’t get this so good luck if you do!
The V272 Quadcopter is very durable however, I’d recommend (if you can swing it) pick up a few of them because you’ll likely break your first one if you get brave like I did, taking it outside with even a minimal breeze.
After about a dozen flights, I got very comfortable flying this thing. It’s easy to control, very responsive, quick, and sounds cool.
I’ll be posting a full ‘out of the package’ review in a few days but until then, hopefully this answers some basic questions. This thing is highly durable and packed with value – it’s a lot of fun for all ages.
